The project to develop human capacity in Cybersecurity is being successfully implemented
The Joint Action of Many Countries (JICA), in collaboration with the Communications and Information Technology Authority, is successfully implementing the "Cybersecurity Human Capacity Building" project for the period of 2023-2026, a four-year initiative.
With the goal of enhancing cybersecurity education in Mongolia, this project focuses on three main objectives:
- Establishing a comprehensive network to promote collaboration in the cybersecurity education sector, fostering the development of Cybersecurity expertise among individuals.
- Implementing a cybersecurity education program tailored for students and professionals.
- Developing a cybersecurity education program specifically designed for government officials.
To achieve these objectives, JICA is working in conjunction with the Information and Communication Technology School of MUST (Mongolian University of Science and Technology), beyond the collaboration with MDDC and other relevant organizations.
As part of this effort, a seminar on information technology system security was organized by the Central Government Agencies on October 6, 2023. The seminar aimed to provide insights into cybersecurity, legal frameworks, technical solutions, and financial requirements. The expertise of professionals in the field contributed to the success of this event.
B.Batzorig, the Head of the Information and Communications Department of MDDC, participated in the seminar and presented information about the project implementation.
JICA operates in 155 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, North and South America, and Eastern Europe. The Mongolian office of JICA was established in 1997 and is currently working with 53 partner agencies. Presently, the Mongolian office employs 27 staff members.
